One of the commitments Mt. Auburn U.M.C. makes to its members and visitors is to provide a nursery program for children under 2 years of age at every Sunday morning worship service with the purpose of:
NURSERY STAFF Our nursery is staffed by a trained nursery attendant as well as adults and responsible youth volunteering as helpers. They will care for your child by providing a loving and secure environment. They will endeavor to give your child the same care you would give so you may spend quality time in worship. HEALTH & SAFETY The health and well-being of your child is of utmost importance to us. Our nursery is complete with age-appropriate equipment and toys to satisfy the developing needs of your child. The room is cleaned on a weekly basis. Crib sheets and all linens are washed after each use. All toys and equipment are cleaned on a regular basis and are routinely sanitized. All attendants are registered with the Director of Children's Ministries and have received basic training for care in our nursery. Additionally, our trained nursery attendant is certified in CPR and Basic First Aid. "SIGN-IN" PROCEDURES The first time you bring your child to the nursery, you will be asked to fill out an "information card." This will aid our staff in knowing your child and any specific wishes you have for your child including special care. Each time you bring your child to the nursery, you will need to register your child on the "Nursery Sign-In Sheet." At that time, you will be given an identification number. This will help our staff identify your child's belongings and identify you as you pick up your child. Before picking your child up from the
nursery, you will be asked to present this number. These measures have
been put in place to ensure your child's safety and your peace of mind.
