WORSHIP Worship is the keystone to our program whether it is the traditional Sunday morning service or the new contemporary service. We United Methodists have a tradition rooted in the scriptures. The Word of God is inspirationally proclaimed here each Sunday at all our services:8:30 (traditional), 9:45 (blended), and 11:15 a.m. (contemporary). Nursery and preschool child care are provided at all major church services, and Children's Praise Church for ages 4 through fourth grade is held during the 11:15 a.m. Sunday morning worship service. OUTREACH AND EDUCATION
MUSIC Music, directed by Ms. Karri York, plays a vital role in the worship services at Mt. Auburn. The Music Ministry consists of our adult choir (Chancel Choir), Chancel Handbells, Children's Choir, Children's Handchimes, our very own Praise/Worship Band, and we have just recently begun an Orchestra (which plays once a month). New participants are always welcome. Special activities during the choir season (September - May) include cantatas, children's musicals, and a consistent practice of singing or ringing in all worship services. Commit, MUSIC PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN We have a variety of music programs available for children of all ages.
Children's Choir (open to all interested 1st-6th grade) - Sunday at
11:00 a.m.
CHURCH SCHOOL We offer many class opportunities each Sunday at 9:45 a.m., including adult classes, youth classes, and children's classes, plus numerous special adult elective programs throughout the year. Children ages 2 and 3 can participate in a special class during the 11:15 a.m. worship hour, while children ages 4 to fourth grade are invited to participate in Children's Praise Church at that same service. Children's Praise Church provides a unique blend of learning experiences which include puppetry, role playing, crafts, dramatization and films to relate the Bible stories and messages.
